Townsfolk is an obsolete creature class for Humans with no specific occupation.
History
Most Townsfolk have since had their class changed to something more appropriate (for instance, Anarchist was once a Townsfolk but is now a Wizard), or are now simply humans without a class (such as Treasure Hunter). Mark Rosewater later considered its removal a mistake.[1]
The only cards with the creature type still are from Unglued.
Citizen, Peasant[2] and Serf are similar in theme.
