• Both opossum and possum (or 'possum) are accepted names for these North American marsupials; technically, "possum" refers to an unrelated family of marsupials from Australia, but is a very common informal name for the American species. After some research, R&D landed on the informal North American usage as more appropriate to the setting of Thunder Junction. The type covers both kinds of marsupials as a sugar glider-like possum debuted in Aetherdrift.
