Weasel is a creature type for cards that depict small mammals with long and slender bodies and short legs.
History
The type first appeared in Bloomburrow;[1] they were originally intended to be the plane's black/red species but this changed during development.[2]
Storyline
Bloomburrow
Weasels are one of the animalfolk of Bloomburrow.
One of their kin, Cruelclaw, is an antagonist in the Bloomburrow storyline. He was hired by King Glarb to steal a Calamity Beast's egg.
Eldraine
Weasels serve as steeds for goblins in Eldraine.

Trivia
- Ferret and Sable are both technically members of the weasel-family so it is possible that both could be errata'd to weasel though there are currently no known plans for it.[3]
