Ali Baba was a cunning rogue from Rabiah Ali Baba, a master of unlocking secrets and breaching defenses that others deemed impenetrable. With a simple utterance of "Open, Sesame!", he could cause the most formidable barriers to yield, revealing the hidden treasures and mysteries beyond.
Behind the scenes
In One Thousand and One Nights, the inspiration for the set Arabian Nights, Ali Baba was a poor woodcutter who became rich after discovering a vast cache of treasure hidden by evil bandits.[1] When first printed in Arabian Nights, Ali Baba had the unique Creature type of Ali Baba. This was given errata in the Grand Creature Type Update to be Human Rogue.
