Necrosavant is an obsolete creature type for cards that represented a type of giant zombie.

Description

Necrosavant debuted as a creature type in Visions on the eponymous named Necrosavant. In the Magic Online release of Visions it was given errata to instead be Zombie Giant. Necrosavants appear to be giant powerful zombies. Some Necrosavants appear sapient, such as Zarkuu on Dominaria who remembers his first death. Based on the name, Necrosavants were potentially skilled necromancers who were able to bring themselves back to life similar to a lich. The original image of the Necrosavant did not appear to be a giant and just appeared to be a dark skinned, emaciated human surrounded by books. The re-printing, however, changed this and made it into a large giant zombie waking up from under a grave after being disturbed by necromancers.

• Necrosavant was re-printed in Dominaria Remastered with its new type line.
