Mammoth is an obsolete creature type for a race of elephantine animals with coats of thick brown hair and long, deeply curved tusks. It was later used again as a test card exclusive creature type.
History
Mammoth was one of the first creature types introduced in Alpha with War Mammoth, and also appeared in Ice Age. Later in the Grand Creature Type Update the creature type was incorporated in the Elephant type. From that moment on, Elephant Graveyard regenerated only Elephants because Mammoths no longer existed as such.
The type reappeared on Domesticated Mammoth, a test card in the Mystery Booster set.
Storyline
Mammoths have been seen on several different planes.
