Frostbeast is an obsolete creature type for cards that represented a type of frost elemental beast.

History

Frostbeast debuted as a creature type in Ice Age on Kjeldoran Frostbeast. During the Grand Creature Type Update, the type was made obsolete and replaced with elemental and beast.

Description

The Kjeldoran Frostbeast appears to be an elemental beast from Kjeldor on Dominaria comprised of ice that can rise out of ice into a beastly humanoid form with large claws and teeth. Disa the Restless noted in her journal that two of her warriors found that the Frostbeast was both dangerous in combat and just in proximity. It is not known if there are any types of Frostbeasts outside of Kjeldor.

Trivia

• Kjeldoran Frostbeast has never been physically re-printed with its new type line, though it was digitally on Magic Online with the release of Masters Edition III.
