Bard is a job introduced in Dungeons & Dragons: Adventures in the Forgotten Realms. Its creation was inspired by the popular character class from Dungeons & Dragons.

Description

Bards are poet-singers and musicians skilled in composing and reciting verses on heroes and their deeds that inspire their allies. Although the word "Bard" may evoke thoughts of poets from ancient civilizations specifically, in Magic the type can be used for any musician or poet regardless of how advanced the civilization they live in is or what their poetry/music is about (see, for example, Starfield Vocalist or The Mary Janes).

With the introduction of this creature type Elvish Bard, Joraga Bard and Yisan, the Wanderer Bard received an oracle update.
