Otter is a creature type that is used for Magic cards that depict semiaquatic fish-eating mammals of the weasel family, with an elongated body, dense fur, and webbed feet.
The type was introduced in Ikoria: Lair of Behemoths[2] with Lutri, the Spellchaser and Thieving Otter. Ikoria Commander added Eon Frolicker.
Lutri was banned in Commander the day it was spoiled.[3]
Storyline
Bloomburrow
Otters are one of the animalfolk of Bloomburrow. They are known for their ability to control currents and their elemental magic, which like to store in pearls (as seen in Pearl of Wisdom.) They are also known for their divers and sailors.[4]
