Mistfolk is an obsolete creature type for cards that represented a race of humanoid illusions.

Description

Mistfolk debuted as a creature type in Ice Age on the eponymous named Mistfolk. With the release of the Coldsnap theme decks, which included Mistfolk, the type was made obsolete and replaced with illusion.

Mistfolk are transparent illusionary humanoids that were seen in Kjeldor during the Ice Age of Dominaria. Disa wrote in her journal that while she had no evidence pointing to the existence of the Mistfolk, she could not be certain due to the cursed consistency of the expedition’s eyewitness accounts of seeing them. Tempest also featured a Thalakos Mistfolk which were a Thalakos variant of mistfolk.
