Kobold is a red and black creature type which was featured in Legends, and had brief reappearances since.
Description
Kobolds are little creatures, resembling a cross between a goblin and an imp. They have red or green skins.
Storyline
There is only one known plane inhabited by kobolds, Dominaria. They live in the Kher Ridges, on Terisiare, in the fortress of Kher Keep. Kobolds seem to be incredibly resilient since they survived for centuries in their lair, unafflicted by the disasters that ravaged the other parts of Dominaria. For this, Teferi compared them to cockroaches.
Entire regions were destroyed by the kobolds, but not because of their superior battle tactics - when kobolds are hungry enough, they will eat anything that isn't made of rock.[2] A number of kobolds were summoned by Shauku (whom they called the Yellow Lady) to tend the fires guarding the Cosmic Horror imprisoned in her castle, in south-western Jamuraa.[3]
The Kobolds of the Kher Ridges survived into the period of the Terisian Isles, and came to revere the dragon Prossh as a god.[4] They are known to offer themselves to the dragon in the hope that he will spare their kin.[5]

Of the seven related cards in Legends only three were actually printed with the Kobold-type. These all had a 
casting cost:[6]
Time Spiral
One card gained the Kobold-type when it was reprinted in Time Spiral:
- Kobold Taskmaster changed from Taskmaster to Kobold.
Grand Creature Update
The other cards gained the Kobold-type in the Grand Creature Type Update:
- Kobold Drill Sergeant changed from Drill-Sergeant to Kobold.
- Kobold Overlord changed from Lord to Kobold.
- Rohgahh of Kher Keep had no creature-type except Legend, he gained Kobold. This card interacts with "Kobolds of Kher Keep".
Commander 2013
Commander 2013 introduced the card Prossh, Skyraider of Kher, which produces a token named Kobolds of Kher Keep.
Commander Legends
Commander Legends introduced the card Rograkh, Son of Rohgahh, the first legendary creature to cost .
Adventures in the Forgotten Realms
Dungeons & Dragons: Adventures in the Forgotten Realms added more Kobolds.
Baldur's Gate
Commander Legends: Battle for Baldur's Gate added more Kobolds.
Dominaria United
Dominaria United added more Kobolds.
