Artist is a test card-only creature class used to represent those who create art. It does not appear on a Type line but instead as part of an Activated ability that temporarily changes the type of a card.
History
Artist debuted as a creature type in 2024 as part of a Unknown Event test card at the 2024 Amsterdam Unknown Event. It appeared on The Magic City, New which has an Activated ability that can turn it into a 1/1 white, blue, and red Human Artist creature until end of turn.[1]
