Rohgahh of Kher Keep was a famed Kobold warrior and the chief ruler of the kobold tribes dwelling in the Kher Ridges region.
History
The kobolds inhabiting Kher Keep hold the mighty dragon Prossh in divine reverence, treating him as a deity.[1] Central to their belief system is the conviction that living according to Prossh's example—through acts of pillaging, burning, and instilling fear—is paramount. It is said that kobolds who embody these violent ideals may be reborn as dragons hatched from Prossh's eggs.
At one point, Rohgahh conceived a bold vision: rather than merely emulating his god, he sought to ascend to godhood himself.[1] Embracing this ambition, he became a ruthless overlord, demanding from his followers tribute and sacrifices on par with those offered to Prossh. However, his son, Rograkh, grew disillusioned by his father's ruthless treatment of their people, especially when there were other victims to plunder. In response, Rograkh led a rebellion aiming to steer the kobolds of Kher Keep back towards what he saw as a more honorable and "righteous" path.
By the year 4562 AR, Rohgahh's lineage continued to shape the fate of Kher Keep, with his descendant Rosnakht having seized control of the stronghold by overthrowing her mother.[2]
Trivia
- During playtesting, Rohgahh of Kher Keep was named "Ur-aah-ah of Kher Keep," and later "Uriah of Kher Keep."[3] His name was changed late in the process because it reminded people too much of Uriah Heep.
