Nailah (NAY-la)[1] was a powerful Sorceress Queen of Rabiah who sought to force the Unification of Taysir and then absorb Taysir's power.[2] While most people on Rabiah exist in one thousand and one versions — one for each copy of Rabiah — Taysir had only five, one for each type of magic. According to prophecy, if the five were united, they would become the most powerful planeswalker ever.

History

As a girl, Nailah was trained in magic by her father, El-Hajjâj, alongside Raghib. She later overthrew and killed her father. Having seduced Raghib, she used him for various tasks, including tracking down the Ring of Ma'rûf, which would allow her to locate the Taysirs and find the black aspect of Taysir. Once he had completed this final task, Nailah had no further use for Raghib and cursed him with leprosy.

The Lore of the Ancients was a Rabian legend that spoke of the One Made of Five. Nailah learned of this prophecy and found the five versions of the man who would become Taysir of Rabiah.[3]

Nailah seduced the black version of Taysir and convinced him to kill and absorb the green one. However, the black/green Taysir eventually rebelled and managed to warn the red Taysir, passing him the Ring of Ma'rûf. The red Taysir merged with the white aspect and later with the blue one. He eventually returned for the remaining parts, defeated Nailah, and merged with his final counterpart. In the battle that followed, Nailah killed Raghib — who had become the servant of the white Taysir — as well as El-Hajjâj, who had survived their earlier conflict.

After Taysir became a planeswalker, Nailah attempted to seduce him by appealing to the black within him, but he struck her with an energy blast and planeswalked away. Enraged that she could not claim Taysir's power for herself, Nailah created a barrier around the Rabiahs, preventing him from ever returning.
