Present

They're just an alternate set of properties for a face-down creature. 2) The card says "may" - not all Presents are wrapped. 3) Rephrased visual description; it's subjective but I think this way is easier to picture. It's probably more of a "chaos warp rift", but I guess a time rift is also similar. 4) Made it more clear Chaos Wrap isn't itself a Present and that the face-down card IS the present.)

type:"Present"

Present is an acorn creature type used for face-down creatures, which are usually wrapped. Presents look like creatures of other recognizable types, except they are completely covered or enclosed in paper or other wrapping materials. They seem to be created by sending a creature through some kind of magical rift similar to that of Chaos Warp, or a time rift transited by a suspended creature.

History

Present debuted as a creature type imposed by Chaos Wrap, the 2022 Holiday card. That spell makes another card into a Present by putting it into play face down as a 4/4 red creature.
