Ambush Party is an obsolete two-word creature type job for those who attack by surprise.
History
Ambush Party debuted as a creature type in Homelands on the eponymous card Ambush Party. It was later physically reprinted in Fifth Edition but has not been since. The type was later dropped in the Grand Creature Type Update, and it was given errata to be a Human Rogue.[1] It did recieve its new type line digitally in Magic Online in the Masters Edition II set. To represent their ambushing, they have first strike and haste.
Description
One Ambush Party was two thieves who were paid by Eron the Relentless to wait in a castle and ambush two other thieves on Ulgrotha.[2] Another has been seen waiting behind turns on the roads to Koskun Keep.[3] On Dominaria, Tor Wauki was known to ambush, believing in survival over chivalry, and would hide behind trees in the forest to ambush.[4]
