Poison Snake is an obsolete creature type for a race of artificial poisonous snakes.

History

Poison Snake originally debuted as a two-worded creature type in Legends on tokens created by Serpent Generator. It has an activated ability that creates 1/1 Snake artifact creatures for 4 colorless mana. The generated snakes give poison counters whenever they deal damage to players. With the release of the Magic Online Masters Edition, the artifact was given errata to create tokens with just the Snake type instead.

Trivia

A poison snake would normally mean it is harmful after being eaten, whereas a venemous snake would be the correct term for those that kill via biting.
