Spooky counters are a type of counter introduced on a test card at the 2025 Chicago Planechase Unknown event.

Description

Spooky counters first appeared on the Sorin's Remastered Manor plane test card as part of the Planechase Unknown event. The plane makes it so whenever the player planeswalks to it and during the active player's upkeep, the player adds a spooky counter on to a creature they controls, which provides a small buff. As well, whenever chaos ensues, target spooky creature "bites" (biting plus life gain) an opponent or a creature they control.
