Burden counters are a type of counter introduced in The Lord of the Rings: Tales of Middle-Earth.

Description

Burden counters first appeared on The One Ring, where they represent the corrupting nature of the ring in the lore; as the longer one held it, the further and more it would corrupt them.

Trivia

In Magic Online, the counter is colored orange as its considered a negative effect. It shares its icon with Blight, Pain, and Scream counters.^[1]
