Currency counters are a type of counter introduced in Homelands. It acts as an upkeep tracking counter which builds up a resource for an activated ability.

Description

Currency counters first appeared on Trade Caravan in Homelands. It is a creature that gains a Currency counter on each upkeep. It then has the activated ability to remove two Currency counters in exchange for untapping a land during the opponent's upkeep step.
