Eyeball counters are a type of counter introduced in Dark Ascension and later reprinted in Commander 2013. It acts as a resource for a Tutor activated ability.

Description

Eyeball counters first appeared on Jar of Eyeballs in Dark Ascension. Two eyeball counters were added to it whenever the player's creature died. An activated ability could then be used to remove the counters and choose a card from the top cards of the library equal to the number of counters while putting the rest at the bottom of the library. This represents using the creature's eyes to look at the top of the library.

Trivia

In Magic Online, the counter is colored green as its considered a positive effect and it shares an icon with Blood, Carrion, Corpse, Infection, and Plague counters.[1]
