Fury counters are a type of counter introduced in Commander 2016. They build up if no creatures attack during a turn and also deal damage to the player.
Description
Fury counters first appeared on Charging Cinderhorn in Commander 2016. It was a creature that would gain a Fury counter on any player's turn that doesn't attack and also deal damage to that player for however many Fury counters were on it. This represented the Ox becoming angrier anytime no one attacked and unleashing its fury on the player.
Trivia
- In Magic Online, Fury counters are colored green as its considered a positive effect and share their icon with Blaze, Flame, Fuse, Shred, Spite and Strife counters.[1]
