Stall counters are a type of counter introduced on a Test card created at the 2025 Las Vegas Unknown Event.

Description

Stall counters first appeared on the Vamping Vampire test card as part of an Unknown Event. It has plot - allowing it to be exiled to be played later - and then one of the counters is added to it whenever a spell is cast while it is in exile. Then when it enters it deals damage equal to the number of counters that were on it to target creature an opponent controls. As per the name the counters track how long the player stalls to play the card.^[1]
