Eon counters are a type of counter introduced in Zendikar. They act as a marker for a delayed time.
Description
Eon counters first appeared on Magosi, the Waterveil in Zendikar. It is a land with the ability to add eon counters to itself while skipping the player's next turn. It then has a second ability to remove the eon counter which gives the player an extra turn after their current one.
The counters returned for Out of the Tombs in the Warhammer 40,000 Commander Decks.
Trivia
- In Magic Online, the counter is colored green as its considered a positive effect and shares its icon with Age, Depletion, Delay, Fade, Hour, Hourglass, Isolation, and Time counters.[1]
