Sleight counters are a type of counter introduced in Ice Age. It acts as a tracker for the increased mana cost of an ability.
Description
Sleight counters first appeared on Chromatic Armor in Ice Age. They originally appeared as unnamed counters on the card, later errated into Sleight counters. It was an enchantment that granted protection against the color of the player's choice. It then could change that color for a mana cost equal to the number of sleight counters on it. It starts at 1 and gains another each time the ability is used making it an ever-increasing mana cost.
Trivia
- In Magic Online, the counter is colored orange as its considered a negative effect and shares its icon with Ki and Manifestation counters.[1]
