Resonance counters are a type of counter introduced on a Test card at the 2024 Las Vegas Unknown Event.

Description

Resonance counters first appeared on the Fifth Stage of Magic Design test card as part of an Unknown Event. The enchantment starts with 3 counters on it and the player can remove one whenever they cast a spell. Whenever one is removed then the player can ask a person outside the game if the spell’s name sounds like a non-Magic-themed movie title. If a person answers yes, then the player can either put two +1/+1 counters on target creature or have the enchantment deal 2 damage to target creature.
