Intervention counter are a type of counter introduced in Legends. They act as a tracker for an alternate-draw condition making it so neither player wins or loses.

Description

Intervention counters first appeared on Divine Intervention in Legends and later re-printed in Masters Edition III. They were originally unnamed counters but were later errated into Intervention counters. The enchantment enters play with 2 of these counters on it with one being removed on each upkeep. Once all are removed, the game ends as a draw making it so neither player wins or loses. The alternate draw condition only triggers when the final counter is removed by the controller.
