Isolation counters are a type of counter introduced in Battle for Zendikar. They act as a count for the temporary exile of cards.
Description
Isolation counters first appeared on Quarantine Field in Battle for Zendikar. It is an enchantment that enters the battlefield with Isolation counters equal to the additional mana spent to cast it. It will then exile nonland permanents for each isolation counter on it until the enchantment leaves the battlefield at which point they are returned to play. Its name represents its effect in that the permanents are being isolated while it is in play.
Trivia
- In Magic Online, the counter is colored green as its considered a positive effect and shares its icon with Age, Depletion, Delay, Eon, Fade, Hour, Hourglass, and Time counters.[1]
