Bloodstain counters are a type of counter introduced in Murders at Karlov Manor.[1]

Description

Bloodstain counters are used as a thematic representation of a crime scene and how that case is solved by the Ravnican Agency of Magicological Investigations. Creatures dying increase the amount of counters on the card alongside requiring a mill which represents more evidence being found. Once enough evidence is analyzed which is five or more of the counters, Blood Spatter Analysis is sacrificed and allows the return a creature from a graveyard to the player's hand.
