Crystal counters are a type of counter introduced in Battle for Zendikar. They are a type of counter created by the Converge mechanic and then used as a resource for an activated ability.

Description

Crystal counters first appeared on Prism Array in Battle for Zendikar. They are created on the Enchantment by the Converge mechanic meaning one is added to it per each color of mana spent on the spell. The Crystal counters can then be used as as a resource and exchanged to tap a creature per counter.

Trivia

In Magic Online, the counter is colored green as its considered a positive effect and shares its icon with Charge and Gem counters.[1]
