Collection counter are a type of counter introduced in Streets of New Capenna. Its name alludes to having a collection of cards in exile for later use.

Description

Collection counters first appeared on Evelyn, the Covetous in Streets of New Capenna, where they tracked cards exiled form the top of each player's library whenever a Vampire enters the battlefield. The player in control of Evelyn is then able to cast one of the exiled cards per turn while using mana of any color for their casting cost.

When the counters returned in Modern Horizons 3, they were used to represent the Charitable Levy collecting payments from players.
