Fade counters are exclusively used by the fading mechanic.
They are similar to time counters, since vanishing was created as a better implementation of the fading concept.
Trivia
- In Magic Online, the counter is colored green as its considered a positive effect and shares its icon with Age, Depletion, Delay, Eon, Hour, Hourglass, Isolation, and Time counters.[1]
