Dream counters are a type of counter introduced in Legends. They have currently always been a resource associated with Rasputin Dreamweaver.

Description

Dream counters first appeared on Rasputin Dreamweaver in Legends. He enters the battlefield with 7 Dream counters and can gain another during Upkeep if he is untapped and has less than 7. The counters can then be used to give colorless mana or prevent a point of damage. The counters made a re-appearance in Dominaria United Commander on Rasputin, the Oneiromancer. In this case, he gets a dream counter for each opponent the player has. They can then be used for an activated ability to create colorless mana or a 2/2 white Knight creature token with protection from red.
