Muster counters are a type of counter introduced in Gatecrash. They act as an upkeep tracker for creating soldier tokens.

Description

Muster counters first appeared on Assemble the Legion in Gatecrash. It is an enchantment that gains a Muster counter each upkeep. Then, a 1/1 red and white Soldier token is created for each Muster counter on it. This represents the soldiers being assembled for battle.

Trivia

  • In Magic Online, the counter is colored green as its considered a positive effect and shares its icon with Palliation and Phylactery counters.[1]
  • Muster means to assemble troops, especially for inspection or in preparation for battle.
