Hack counters are a type of counter introduced in Unfinity. They act as a resource for an activated ability.

Description

Hack counters first appeared on Truss, Chief Engineer in Unfinity. One of the Hack counters is placed on it when it enters the battlefield and whenever another creature dies. Truss then has an activated ability that allows for the removal of X Hack counters in exchange for adding or subtracting X from a number or word on the target spell or permanent until the end of the turn without reducing a number below 1 or a number word below one. This represents the ability to hack the spell or the permanent.
