Corruption counters are a type of counter introduced in Modern Horizons 2 currently specific to the planeswalker Geyadrone Dihada.
Description
Corruption counters first appeared on Geyadrone Dihada in Modern Horizons 2. The planeswalker has a base loyalty ability to add a corruption counter on a creature or planeswalker while also having protection against any permanent with one of the counters. Its other abilities then also allow it to take control of permanents, one lesser ability to do so for a turn while also adding a corruption counter to it and the main ability to gain complete control of a permanent with the counter.
Trivia
- In Magic Online, the counter is colored blue as its considered a neutral effect. It shares an icon with Death, Despair, Doom, Mannequin, Paralyzation, Petrification and Soul counters.[1]
