Mining counters are a type of counter introduced in Weatherlight. They acted as a limited amount of mana on lands.
Description
Mining counters first appeared on Gemstone Mine in Weatherlight. It was a colorless land that entered the battlefield with 3 mining counters on it. These could then be used each turn to add mana of any color. After all the mining counters were removed the Gemstone Mine was sacrificed. They represent the gems of the Mine being mined until its exhausted of resources.
