Description

Ritual counters first appeared on the Heirloom Mirror in Innistrad: Midnight Hunt. A ritual counter can be added to via an activated ability that requires paying 1 life, 1 colorless manga, and discarding a card. These act as a tracker for the transform mechanic which triggers on 3 or more counters to become Inherited Fiend. The sacrifice of life and card represents the ritual to summon forth the demon as the result of the transformation.
