Aegis counters are a type of counter that may be placed on a creature to temporarily Exile it.

Description

Livio, Oathsworn Sentinel from Commander Legends is the first card to use Aegis counters. The counters are placed on a creature as its owner Exiles it and then allows for it to be returned to the Battlefield under its owner's control. This acts as temporary protection for the creature.

Trivia

Aegis is a term for protection thus describing the effect of the counters.
In Magic Online, the counter is colored green as its considered a positive effect and shares its icon with Muster, Palliation and Phylactery counters.^[1]
