Aegis counters are a type of counter that may be placed on a creature to temporarily Exile it.
Description
Livio, Oathsworn Sentinel from Commander Legends is the first card to use Aegis counters. The counters are placed on a creature as its owner Exiles it and then allows for it to be returned to the Battlefield under its owner's control. This acts as temporary protection for the creature.

- Aegis is a term for protection thus describing the effect of the counters.
- In Magic Online, the counter is colored green as its considered a positive effect and shares its icon with Muster, Palliation and Phylactery counters.[1]
