Mannequin counters are a type of counter introduced in Lorwyn. They represent a creature being a mannequin rather than the actual creature.
Description
Mannequin counters first appeared on Makeshift Mannequin in Lorwyn. It is an Instant which returns a creature from the graveyard with one of the counters on it. With the counter on it, it also gains the effect of forcing its sacrifice if it becomes the target of a spell or ability. This represents the creature being turned into a mannequin rather than returning from the graveyard.
Trivia
- In Magic Online, the counter is colored orange as its considered a negative effect. It shares an icon with Corruption, Death, Despair, Doom, Paralyzation, Petrification and Soul counters.[1]
