The Rag Man was a minion created by Lord Ith during The Dark Age on Dominaria.[1]
History
When Ith was imprisoned by his apprentice Mairsil, he summoned the Rag Man, who led Jodah to the Conclave of Mages. Jodah freed the old mage, only to see Ith, who had been driven insane, go into a murderous rampage that resulted in the death of Mairsil and the Rag Man. In the end, Jodah managed to make Ith come to his senses. The artificer Barl, who had devised the cage that had held Ith, was turned into Ith's new Rag Man.
