type:"Assassin"

Assassin is a creature class. The first creature to bear the type was the Royal Assassin in Alpha.

Description

Assassins specialize in one thing: killing.[2] Assassins are amoral in the extreme, ending the lives of others for money or the thrill of killing.

Assassins sometimes have abilities that let them directly destroy other creatures, but for the lower-rarity versions, deathtouch is usually sufficient representation. The majority of assassins are black, with three of the remaining (two red and one blue) being color pie bends, having creature-destruction abilities not regularly in pie. Two other recent monored Assassins have been printed since, but their typing justification is more tenuous. The sole green Assassin is a deathtouch Kraul in the cult of the assassin queen Vraska.

For Outlaws of Thunder Junction Assassins were batched as Outlaws. Universes Beyond Assassin's Creed had an "Assassins'-mater " theme.[3]
