Lifetime Mending Era

Javy is an assassin working for Vraska, and a former Boros investigator from Ravnica. She was also one of Arbiter Relov's oldest friends but ended up deliberately causing his death.

Description

Javy presents a disciplined and professional appearance, often seen in her immaculate uniform, reflecting her dedication to her role. Despite her ordeal and time spent in the healing wards, she remains resilient, with fine white scars on her hand as a testament to her determination. Her expressions shift from faint smiles to fierce resolve, showing a range of emotions masked by professionalism. In casual attire, she opts for practical clothing like loose black pants and a tunic, blending in with commoners. Overall, Javy embodies a committed and resilient individual, unafraid to confront difficult truths and situations.[1]

History

Javy, a dedicated Boros investigator, was a long-time friend of Relov, an Azorius Arbiter. Javy supported Relov's Failsafe Initiative and suggested stricter limitations on executions, but this proposal had been killed by Grand Arbiter Leonos II. [1]

Javy's life took a dark turn following a brutal attack where the pair was assaulted while on patrol in the Smelting District. Her partner was killed in the attack, and Javy was beaten severely and took months to recover. This traumatic event marked a significant shift in her character, leading her to adopt a darker, more ruthless outlook. After her attacker was released due to bribery of Azorius judicial officials, Javy became disillusioned with the law and abandoned the Boros, joining Vraska's burgeoning cult and becoming a competent assassin. She specialized in killing corrupt officials according to how they lived their lives. [2]

Javy contacted Relov to inform him about a series of murders targeting Azorius members, which she was supposedly investigating. These killings were orchestrated to reflect the victims' lives and their perceived transgressions, highlighting a theme of poetic justice. Javy's investigation uncovered a Mass Arrest Order signed by Relov and other Arbiters, leading her to conclude that someone was enacting vengeance for the violent Golgari raid authorized by this order.[1]

It eventually became evident that Javy was deeply involved with Vraska, who held a grudge against those responsible for the Golgari raid. In a climactic confrontation, Javy brought Vraska to Relov's home. Javy indicated that Relov's punishment should be for his inaction and detachment from the consequences of his bureaucratic decisions. Vraska agreed, turning Relov into a statue, an eerie symbol of his demise due to inaction. This statue was seamlessly installed in the Azorius guildhall, its significance unnoticed by his peers, although they complimented it on its exquisite detail.[1]

Javy also killed or was involved in the deaths of Arbiter Zivan, Branko One-Ear, and Judge Azka.
