Undead is an obsolete creature type that appeared on two cards from the Weatherlight set: Hidden Horror and Odylic Wraith. In the Grand Creature Type Update these were changed to creature type Horror and Wraith, respectively.

Description

"Undead" is a general classification for beings that are created or reanimated from the mortal remains of living creatures for different purposes, using black mana mainly,[1] though spirits are more often associated with white and some types of zombies are generated through white and blue.

Purposes for creating undead may vary, but in general terms may be for:

  • Cursing or punishing a mortal
  • Extending a mortal's life span
  • Reanimating a mortal to gain advantage of it's biological abilities from the body, or knowledge from it's experiences

Types of Undead

The following creatures are generally considered to be undead.
