Imp is a mainly black creature type used for cards that depict small, pesky, bat-like lesser demons. The first creature to bear the type was Nettling Imp in Alpha.

Notable Imps
- Blim — the first Legendary imp.
- Chimney Imp — This imp is infamous for its relatively high mana cost compared to its abilities and power/toughness ratio.
- Putrid Imp — This imp has seen a lot of play in madness decks.

- Blim is currently the only black and red Imp.
