Smith is a obsolete creature class. Smiths are craftspeople who fashion useful items (for example, tools, jewelery, Armor and weapons) out of various metals.
History
The two card with the subtype Smith were Hyperion Blacksmith and Repentant Blacksmith. These were changed to Artificer in the Grand Creature Type Update. Since then there have been numerous Smith related cards which are usually typed as Artificers.
