Brushwagg is a green creature type that was previously only used once in black-border for the card Brushwagg in Mirage. Almighty Brushwagg would later be printed in Ikoria: Lair of Behemoths.

Description

A Brushwagg is a Jamuraan animal, almost as big as a rhino, which seems a heap of animated kindling. His body is covered in twigs which make a characteristic noise when the animal moves. Despite its size, a Brushwagg despises combat, while it is usually used as a messenger. In fact, it is a very intelligent animal, since he is shown to be able not only to understand human speech but also to write messages by pawing in the dust (even if in a confusing way of sort).[1]

The subtype survived the Grand Creature Type Update.

Flavor text

"Defiantly, the young cyclops popped the brushwagg into his mouth. His cheeks suddenly puffed, his eye bulged, and he was forced to agree with his elder."
