type:"Mammoth"

Mammoth is an obsolete and test card creature type for a race of elephantine animals with coats of thick brown hair and long, deeply curved tusks.

History

Mammoth was one of the first creature types introduced in Alpha with War Mammoth, and also appeared in Ice Age. Later in the Grand Creature Type Update the creature type was incorporated in the Elephant type. From that moment on, Elephant Graveyard regenerated only Elephants because Mammoths no longer existed as such.

The type reappeared on Domesticated Mammoth, a test card in the Mystery Booster set.

Known Mammoths

Mammoths have been seen on several different planes.

Dominaria

Wild Mammoths can be trained as beasts of war.

Ikoria

Honey Mammoths have a blue colored head and a big sweet tooth.

Ulgrotha

Ulgrothan mammoths were eventually almost entirely bred and kept in captivity, especially among the folks of An-Havva. They were used for difficult labor.
