Lamia is a creature type introduced in Journey into Nyx.
Storyline
Theros
Lamias are female monsters created when powerful emotions caused by the gods' actions consume a mortal's mind. Nyxborn creatures, lamias will themselves into being with wildly varied physical forms reflecting the creature's twisted imagination.[1] Some lamias appear to have scaly, bestial bodies and humanoid faces (Thoughtrender Lamia). Others feature serpentine appearances vaguely resembling naga (Gravebreaker Lamia).
