type:"Orgg"

Orgg is a red creature type used for cards that depict a Dominarian race of half-breeds between Orcs and Ogres.

Description

Orggs have two pairs of arms. They are extremely powerful creatures, but also utterly dumb. It is still possible to train them, though.

The first card to bear the type was the classical Orgg in Fallen Empires. Other examples are Soulgorger Orgg and Butcher Orgg.

Storyline

On Sarpadia, Orggs were used in the war against Icatia by the goblin-orc alliance.[2] Reod Dai killed one of them. Orggs are also known to exist on Otaria. It is possible that they were created by the Cabal to fight in their pits.

Trivia

  • An Orgg played a role in a commercial for Portal, taking on "Bob from Accounting".[3]
  • Twisted Experiment may show the creation of the first Orggs by Gatha; this has not been confirmed but the art indicates this may be the origin of the species.
  • Trained Orgg, as of 2022, was the most valuable Orgg creature. While its normal version was evaluated in less than $1, its foil version reached prices as high as $80 - $120.
  • Some Orggs were considered Beast-type creatures in their first printings.
  • Trained Orgg and Vizzerdrix were once considered "booster ruiners" by the community. Yet today, both cards are coveted in foil versions.
